	The Minister takes the סֵֽפֶר תּוֹרָה, and reads the following Prayer for the Queen and the Royal Family:—
הַנּוֹתֵן תְּשׁוּעָה לַמְּלָכִים וּמֶמְשָׁלָה לַנְּסִיכִים מַלְכוּתוֹ מַלְכוּת כׇּל־עוֹלָמִים	He who giveth salvation unto kings and dominion unto princes, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, —
הוּא יְבָרֵֽךְ	may he bless Our Sovereign Lady, Queen Elizabeth (Ⅱ), Elizabeth the Queen Mother, Philip Duke of Edinburgh, Charles Prince of Wales and all the Royal Family.
מֶֽלֶךְ מַלְכֵי הַמְּלָכִים בְּרַחֲמָיו יְחַיֶּֽיהָ וְיִשְׁמְרֶֽהָ וּמִכׇּל־צָרָה וְיָגוֹן יַצִּילֶֽהָ	May the supreme King of kings in his mercy preserve the Queen in life, guard her and deliver her from all trouble and sorrow.
וְיִתֵּן בְּלִבָּהּ וּבְלֵב כׇּל־יוֹעֲצֶיהָ רוּחַ חָכְמָה וּבִינָה לְהַחֲזִיק שְׁלוֹם הַמַּלְכוּת וְשַׁלְוַת עַמָּהּ וְלַעֲשׂוֹת חֶֽסֶד וֶאֶמֶת עִם־כׇּל־יִשְׂרָאֵל׃	May he put into her heart and into the hearts of all her counsellors, a spirit of wisdom and understanding that they may uphold the peace of the realm, advance the welfare of the nation, and deal kindly and truly with all Israel.
בְּיָמֶיהָ וּבְיָמֵֽינוּ יִפְרֹשׂ אָבִֽינוּ שֶׁבַּשָׁמַֽיִם סֻכַּת שָׁלוֹם עַל־כׇּל־יוֹשְׁבֵי תֵבֵל וּבָא לְצִיּוֹן גּוֹאֵל וְנֺאמַר אָמֵן׃	In her days and in ours, may our Heavenly Father spread the tabernacle of peace over all the dwellers on earth; and may the redeemer come unto Zion; and let us say, Amen.

This is the formula of the prayer for the government established by chief rabbi Joseph H. Hertz in 1935 for the Royal Jubilee Service, applied to the reign of Queen Elizabeth by chief rabbi Israel Brodie in his revision of the Authorised Daily Prayer Book (1962), p. 203-204.

Sir Israel Brodie KBE (10 May 1895 – 13 February 1979) was the Chief Rabbi of Great Britain and the Commonwealth 1948–1965.

Joseph Herman Hertz

Joseph Herman Hertz (25 September 1872 – 14 January 1946) was a Jewish Hungarian-born rabbi and biblical scholar. He is most notable for holding the position of Chief Rabbi of the United Kingdom from 1913 until his death in 1946, in a period encompassing both world wars and the Holocaust. Hertz edited a notable commentary on the Torah (1929–36, one volume edition 1937). Popularly known as the Hertz Chumash, this classic Hebrew-English edition of the Five Books of Moses, with corresponding Haftorahs, is used in synagogues and classrooms throughout the English-speaking world. He also edited a Hebrew-English edition of the Jewish Prayer Book or Siddur (1946), and contributed to the Jewish Encyclopedia and the Encyclopædia Britannica.
